تحقق شرطة وندسور في حادث إطلاق نار وقع يوم أمس الأحد و أدى إلى إصابة رجل بجروح لا تهدد الحياة.
و في التفاصيل أنه حوالي الساعة 3:15 صباحًا يوم الأحد ،توجهت الشرطة لشارع سيمينول وهيكوري ، حيث وجدوا رجلاً مصابًا بجروح نتيجة عراك .و لم يكن هناك أي ذكر لإطلاق النار خلال الجزء الأول من التحقيق.
و تم نقل الرجل إلى المستشفى بإصابات لا تهدد حياته.
وقالت الشرطة إنها اكتشفت أثناء وجوده في المستشفى أن الرجل مصاب بطلق ناري.
بعده طوقت الشرطة مكان الحادث و بشارات تحقيقاتها .
وتقول الشرطة إن الضحية كان مع مجموعة من معارفه في كنيسة في شارع حتى الساعات الأولى من يوم الأحد. تلا ذلك مشادة كلامية و تحول إلى عراك .
ثم استمر العراك خارج الكنيسة حيث وقع إطلاق النار ، مما تسبب في إصابة الرجل.
وتعتقد الشرطة أن المسدس كان في حوزة الضحية الذي أصيب بطلقة نارية.
و تم القبض على رجل يبلغ من العمر 34 عامًا لاعتدائه على الرجل المصاب.
كما تم إلقاء القبض على الضحية ، وهو رجل يبلغ من العمر 51 عامًا ، ويواجه إتهام باستخدام سلاح ناري بلا مبالاة ، وحيازة سلاح يشكل خطورة على السلامة العامة.
و تقول الشرطة إنها لا تبحث عن أي مشتبه بهم آخرين في هذا الوقت ، لكن المسدس المعني لا يزال مفقودا .
Windsor Police are actively investigating a shooting that sent one victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say that around 3:15am on Sunday, August 16th, 2020 they were called to the area of Seminole Street and Hickory Road for a report of an assault.
Officers arrived and located an adult male who had injuries consistent with being recently involved in a physical confrontation. During the initial portion of the investigation there was no mention of gunfire.
The injured male was transported to hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
While at the hospital it was discovered that the male also had a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.
The scene of the reported assault was contained and an investigation involving the discharge of a firearm was launched.
It was determined that the original assault victim had been socializing with a group of acquaintances at a church located in the 2600 block of Seminole Street into the early morning hours of August 16, 2020. At one point an argument ensued during which the original victim was assaulted.
The dispute then carried on outside of the church during which time a firearm was discharged, causing the injury to the male.
Investigators believe the incident involved a small caliber handgun that had been in possession of the original victim who sustained the gunshot injury.
Officers located and arrested a 34 year old male from Windsor for assaulting the injured male. He was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
The male with the gunshot injury, a 51 year old male from Windsor, was subsequently arrested and is facing charges including careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and assault with a weapon.
He was released on a Undertaking with a future court date.
Investigators are not looking for any other suspects in relation to the incident at this time. However, the involved handgun remains outstanding.
