فتحت شرطة دورهام الإقليمية تحقيقا بعد العثورعلى طفل رضيع ميت في بحيرة أونتاريو في بيكرينغ يوم أمس الخميس.
و تم استدعاء الشرطة إلى المنطقة حوالي الساعة 3:30 مساءً. حيث تم اكتشاف “بقايا بشرية” من قبل مواطن.
و تم استدعاء الطبيب الشرعي وتولت وحدة الجرائم التحقيق في القضية.
وقالت الشرطة إنها قلقة على صحة أم الرضيع وتحثها على طلب المساعدة الطبية و الاتصال بالسلطات لإخبارهم أنها في أمان.
وتحث الشرطة أي شهود قد يكون لديهم معلومات عن القضية على التقدم.
Durham Regional police are investigating after a newborn infant was found dead in Lake Ontario in Pickering on Thursday.
Police were called to the area of Frisco Road and Montgomery Park Road around 3:30 p.m. where human remains were discovered by a citizen.
The coroner was called in and the homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
Police said they are concerned for the health and wellbeing of the infant’s mother and are urging her to seek medical help and then call authorities to tell them that she is safe.
A post mortem on the baby boy is scheduled for Friday.
Police are urging any witnesses who may have information on the case to come forward.
